Privacy Policy — Approval Seal for Confluence
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Approval Seal for Confluence ("the app") is a Forge app published by Bobook Limited. This policy explains what the app stores and why.
Where the app runs
The app is built entirely on Atlassian Forge and runs inside Atlassian's own cloud infrastructure. It has no external servers, no third-party services and no network egress. Nothing the app handles leaves the Atlassian environment.
What the app stores
For each page placed under approval control, the app stores in Forge storage, scoped to your Confluence site:
- the Confluence page ID and space key
- the current page version number and the version an approval was granted against
- the approval status
- the Atlassian account IDs of the person who requested approval and of those who approved or requested changes, with timestamps
- a per-page history of these events
What the app does not store
- Page content, titles or attachments
- Names, email addresses or profile information — only Atlassian account IDs, which Confluence resolves to a display name at render time
- Any personal data beyond the account IDs above
- Anything at all for pages never placed under approval control
Why it is stored
Solely to show approval status on the page and to answer "who approved this, when and against which version". There is no other purpose. The data is not used for analytics, profiling, advertising or model training.
Permissions the app requests
read:confluence-content.summary— to receive the event fired when a page is updated, so an approval can be invalidated when the page changesread:page:confluence— to read the current version number of a pagestorage:app— to store the approval records described above
The app requests no write access to your content. It cannot create, edit or delete pages.
Retention and deletion
Records persist while the app is installed. Uninstalling the app removes its Forge storage, deleting all approval records and history for that site. There is no separate copy anywhere else, because there is nowhere else.
Sharing
Nothing is shared with anyone. No sub-processors, no analytics providers, no third parties. Atlassian hosts the data as the platform provider under its own terms.
Your rights
Because the app stores no personal data beyond Atlassian account IDs, and holds it only within your own Confluence site, a site administrator can remove all of it by uninstalling the app. For questions or a specific deletion request, contact us at the support address on the Marketplace listing.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and noted in the app's release notes.
