Support
Approval Seal for Confluence is published by Bobook Limited.
Our support commitment
First, something worth saying plainly: support in this category is already good. We read every public review of the ten Confluence approval apps before writing this. Support is mentioned positively about fifty times and negatively once. AURA, Workflows for Confluence, Breeze and QC Read and Understood all earn praise for responsiveness, and so does the app most people are leaving. If you are hoping we will tell you the competition ignores you, we cannot — it would be untrue.
So these commitments are not a claim to be better than everyone. They are what we are bound to, written so you can check them, and published with a record.
1. The person who answers wrote the app. You describe the problem once, to someone who can read the source and fix it.
2. A first reply within one business day. Monday to Friday, Central European Time. If we miss it, we say so in the record below — we do not quietly reset the clock.
3. A reproducible defect that stops approvals recording is worked the day we reproduce it, and you get a named date for the fix rather than "we'll look into it".
4. We will tell you when another app is the better buy. If you need a workflow engine with states and transitions, read-receipts, or recurring review dates, we will say so and point you at the app that does it — see our comparison of the alternatives, which names competitors and their prices including where they beat us.
5. We answer "no" plainly. If a feature is not coming, you get a reason and a date we will revisit it, not a place on a roadmap that never moves.
What actually makes us different
Not service — see above. Scope and price. Every credible alternative is a workflow engine you design and maintain: states, transitions, routing. That is the right purchase for a lot of teams and the wrong one for a team that just wants an approval that stops counting when the page changes. We do that one thing, in about ten minutes, at $100/mo for 200 users — less than every alternative in the comparison except one rated 2.29 and one that does a different job.
Support is what keeps you once you are here. It is not a reason to choose us over a good competitor, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Our record
Published monthly. First reply = time from your email to a human answer, during business hours.
| Month | Emails | Median first reply | Missed the 1-day commitment | Defects fixed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| (from first customer) | — | — | — | — |
The table is empty because the app is not yet published. It will not stay empty, and we will not delete a bad month from it.
Response times
| First reply | within one business day (Mon–Fri) |
| App is down or approvals are not recording | same business day |
| Bug reports and feature requests | acknowledged within one business day, with a decision on whether it is scheduled |
Business days are Central European Time.
What to include
The more of this you send, the faster the answer:
- Your Confluence site URL, for example
https://acme.atlassian.net - The page the problem is on, and its current version number
- What the approval badge shows, and what you expected it to show
- Whether the page was edited between approval and the problem appearing
You do not need to send page content. Approval Seal never stores it, so it is never useful for diagnosis. See the privacy policy.
Before you write
A few things are answered fastest by the documentation:
- The badge says "Stale" and I did not expect it. The page has been edited since it was approved. This is the app working as intended — see how staleness works.
- The badge shows "Not controlled". No approval has ever been requested on that page. Use Request approval to start.
- I approved but the badge did not change. Use Refresh in the badge panel. Confluence caches the byline area for a short period.

What is not covered
Approval Seal provides features your own validated process can use. Advice on whether your process satisfies ISO 9001, ISO 13485, SOC 2, 21 CFR Part 11 or any other standard is outside what support can offer, and no such certification is claimed.
